Friends

Two nights ago, I read to Judah out of his Jesus Storybook Bible (LOVE IT) and the story was on Zacchaeus. (You know, the wee little man?) Otherwise titled as "The man who had no friends." In the opening paragraph, the author began by asking, "Do you have friends?" Judah nodded in affirmation. Then, the following question was, "Who are your friends?" I turned to Judah for his answer, and he answered decisively (and also as if it were the most obvious answer in the world) "Canaan."

Really?! My heart just melted. Because that is what I have wanted for them since I found out Canaan was going to be a boy. I prayed that God would make them friends, that He would make them close. What a blessing to have a brother for a playmate and a friend. I pray that as they grow God will foster their friendship so that they will challenge one another, encourage one another, PRAY for one another. The Lord gave me two boys that are close in age, but I pray he will make them close in relationship, for his glory!
