Early bird

Canaan and Judah now share a room. As we prepare for baby Annie's arrival, we have started transitioning Canaan from his role as the baby, to his new "big brother" status. Part of that is a big boy bed, in the same room as Judah. While that in itself has been a super fun challenge (since now, my two little men chat and play with one another late into the night), it has been brought to our attention that Canaan is the resident early riser. Judah usually slept until at least 7:30, but not Canaan. Yesterday, he stumbled into our bedroom, announcing that he was awake at the ungodly hour of 5:30am. And he did not go back to sleep. Today, he was more reasonable-- 6:15. But for a very pregnant mommy who is used to at least another hour, if not 2... it is an adjustment. There should be some sort of rule that says children are not allowed to wake up before sunrise.
