Dinner with Brian
We had the privilege of reconnecting with long-time pal, Brain Scheuber the other night. Kevin, the kids, and I went to see him at his hotel for some swimming and some chic-fil-a. While eating in the room, Judah (who of course, doesn't meet a stranger) decides to entertain us all. He has finished eating, and launches into the middle of the room proclaiming, "Ladies and gentlemen! It's Dancing Daddy!" and gestures grandly to Kevin. Judah has never done this before, but Kevin good-naturedly obliges by getting up and dancing around the room. Then Judah turns to me and says, "Ladies and gentlemen! It's Dancing Mommy!" So I get up and strut my stuff. Then Judah turns to Brian (whom he has known now for about 10 minutes) and goes, "Ladies and gentlemen! It's Dancing This Guy!" holding his hand out to present Brian. No pause either, it's not like he fishes for the name, can't come up with it, and then stammers..uh, this guy? It is proclaimed with all the confident bravado he used to address Kevin and I. Dancing "This Guy"! :) We all cracked up, Brian most of all. The rest of the evening, we all kept shaking our heads and repeating "dancing this guy..." and then laughing.

Awesome story! You know Jesus didn't meet a stranger either. Like Judah, He wouldn't have wanted Brian to get left out of all the fun either. Judah was just looking out for Brian's feelings. He's a sensitive guy. Of course not sensitive enough to remember his name. . .but hey. . . he cares for others. I think that's more than I can say for Kasen right now. He's only concerned about himself.
This is HILARIOUS.
