When you skip three months between entries, there is plenty to say. But I am just going to have to start where we are, because 3 months of cute stories is impossible to do.
Canaan loves cell phones. He likes to pick them up and pretend to have conversations. Of course, he can only say a few words (Mama, Dada, "adah"--that's Judah, night night, and uh-oh), but that doesn't stop him. He babbles with inflection-- and answers by going, "Ahhhh?" I guess that's his hello. He drops things and says uh-oh, and he also says it if I drop things. Considering how clumsy I am, he says uh-oh all day long.
He and Judah play together during the day, and although Canaan likes Judah, he is a bit skittish around him-- probably due to the fact that Judah has tackled him a good amount. Now anytime Judah comes towards him, Canaan starts to whine and falls to the ground. A flop. He's like, "Don't bother, Judah! I'm already down!"
Judah is very funny. All day long, I am marveling at the things he says. He's quite witty. During the day I tell him stories-- all the time-- to keep him entertained, and to teach him. I tell him stories from the Bible and fairy-tales, and things I make up... which, come to think of it, might be why he has such an impressive vocabulary. (He told me today I was a lady, and he was a gentleman. I asked him what Canaan was, and he said "he's a baby.") Anyways, he likes to retell the stories. Kevin and I and the boys were in the car and we could hear Judah in the back seat telling the story (presumably to himself) of Jesus walking on water. He said, "... and his friends said, 'It's a ghost!' and Jesus said, 'Don't be afraid' and then Peter Pan walked on the water and started to SINK! And Jesus got his hand and rescued him!" Kevin and I cracked up! Peter Pan, the apostle. There's a little bit of blending going on in Judah's stories.
