It'll be fun...

Today I was driving the boys around the parking lot of Sam's waiting for Kevin to come out. Canaan fell asleep, and Judah was entertaining himself with the book "Green Eggs and Ham" in the backseat. He looked at me in the rear view mirror and said, "Mommy, read to me." I said, "Judah, buddy, I can't-- Mommy is driving the car, so I need to keep my eyes on the road." He said, "Come on Mommy! ...It'll be fun!" This he said as though he were trying to coax me into obedience... like, "it'll be fu-un" (2 syllables) the way you would say it to try and get a really little kid to eat their veggies or go down a big slide. I burst out laughing and just shook my head. I said, "You are right. It would be very fun. But I still can't right now." He grinned easily back at me, enjoying my laughter. I guess he knew he was being funny.
