Canaan has down gratefulness. It is a difficult concept for many adults, but not for my 2 year old. If I hand Canaan anything: a toy, food, ...trash, he says, "Thank you, Mommy. Thank you for ______." If he sneezes and I say, "Bless you." Canaan replies, "Thank you Mommy for saying 'bless you.' " If I lean down to kiss the top of his head while we are watching TV, he says, "Thank you Mommy. Thank you for kissing hair."
If I responded to the Lord for every blessing in my life the way that Canaan responds to me, I do believe I would have a much better handle on contentment.
